St Ives is a jewel in West Cornwall’s crown, and it buzzes with visitors in high season.
Food and drink here is exciting, and its Art-scene unmatchable in Cornwall- home to the world-famous Tate gallery. For something lower-key, pretty Penzance has some of the region’s loveliest hotels and a charm all of its own. The Minnack-theatre, carved into the cliffside above Porthcurno is unmissable and unforgettable. And Lands’ End is worth a visit if only for an iconic picture next to its sign to John O’ Groats. West Cornwall even has its own theme park – Flambards – although adrenalin junkies might find it a little tame. Cornwall’s far end is wild, with plenty still to uncover. It’s home to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful, coastline. So, no visit is complete without catching a perfect Cornish sunset over the ocean from a secret beach. Be sure to pack a dram or two of something strong and local to keep you warm.
