So many hotels claim to be family-friendly. Lots offer kids’ menus and play areas. But Fowey Hall does it all with real heart. The manor house itself is an imposing, beautiful building. The interiors are warm and welcoming, with a lived-in opulence that makes you feel right at home as soon as you step inside, past the muddy wellies on the porch. The staff are delightful, especially with children, who are made to feel special here, and invited to enjoy the house and grounds.
A perfect example of how Fowey Hall just gets it right. Breakfast is delicious. Family dining is truly flexible, an all-day menu, fresh, pureed baby food from 7am-9pm and room service available from 7.30am to 9.15pm. Not only this, but the food is really good, the children’s menu has all the classics (i.e. food children will actually eat!) done really well.

The sparkling estuary views make the perfect backdrop for afternoon tea, which is taken seriously here, and rightly so, scones are a serious business in Cornwall.
